Update on New Spirituality Centre and Hermitages

We are delighted to tell you that we have commenced the Detail Design Stage of the Development.
Capital Fundraising Campaign

We launched a capital fundraising appeal for the Development on St. Brigid’s Day, February 1st, 2009.  Despite the global, economic and financial crisis we pressed ahead gently with our appeal and are very happy to share with you that we are within reach of €300,000 for the new Centre. We still have a long road to travel! We are deeply grateful for the goodwill and generosity of so many benefactors, fundraisers and supporters.

The economic downturn may have a silver lining when we eventually go to tender and, hopefully, get a lower costing for the Centre.
 

ThermoPlan Block Campaign

ThermoPlan blocks, (highly insulated clay blocks), are proving very popular.  Who would not want to donate a block to St. Brigid of Kildare, Patroness of Ireland?  Blocks will continue to be sold across the world throughout the fundraising campaign.
Blocks cost:    €10.00,  US $20.00,   Aus $20.00

Pilgrim Groups

A number of pilgrim groups have booked for pilgrimages during the Spring. We looked forward to welcoming students from St. Leo’s, Carlow and Community School, Mountrath,  and groups from Norway, Germany, USA, Australia and Ireland.
